Spatial Frequency Response (SFR) targets are used to measure or validate the achieved resolution of image capture devices such as scanners or digital cameras. They are manufactured with silver halide media according to ISO specifications. Targets allow the calculation of horizontal and vertical SFR performance.
Data extracted from the targets include:
- SFR curves
- Sampling frequency and efficiency
- 10% and 50% frequency positions
- Optical resolution
